It's nearby the train station. The have a free shuttle that takes you from and to the hotel. If you don't have to call them, just go to the information center and they will call them to get you. We stayed at the japanese style room. The futon was comfortable. It had a great view of the lake. The breakfast has a lot of optiona and it is delicious. The offer a special dinner that is amazing. The private onsen was clean. The staff is very kind and they alway have at least one that speak english.

Lovely hotel! Had a shuttle car take me from the train station. Getting around the lake from there is very nice, either with bus, or your own transportation method. The staff were really nice! The breakfast and dinner were both excellent and big traditional services. My room was very nice with a lovely view. I also used the public bath and it was lovely, looks nice, great view, well maintained and clean.

Location: Very close to the city center, compared with the few 5-star hotels in the same region which are more difficult to get to. Easy taxi ride from Kawaguchiko train station; hotel provides a free pickup upon arrival. Without luggage, one can easily bike between the hotel and the train station. Within walking distance (just walk over the Kawaguchiko Bridge) to Ubuyagasaki Shrine which is a top venue to watch the Fuji Mountain during sunrise. Room: Comfortable and luxurious; newly remodeled with modern facilities yet preserves the traditional Japanese onsen styles. Particularly impressed by the bathroom, indoor bath, and the private outdoor hot tub! Privacy: This onsen pays great attention to offering privacy to guests. Not only did the rooms feel this way, check-in and checkout as well as the breakfast experience were all private. Breakfast: More than amazing!!!

The word “extraordinary” is more than fitting for this hotel. From the very first moment, you feel genuinely welcomed and completely at ease. The friendly and exceptionally helpful staff deserve special mention, as do the outstanding breakfasts and dinners served during your stay. With many local ingredients and traditional Japanese culinary artistry at a fine dining level, absolutely no wishes are left unfulfilled. The rooms themselves are spacious, impeccably clean, and furnished with great attention to detail. After a wonderful day exploring the area, you can relax either on the terrace with its Zen garden or in your own private onsen bath. While the price is somewhat higher, it is absolutely justified given the quality of service provided. I would gladly return here at any time.

Absolutely exceptional! The hotel is right on the lake. Free shuttle bus from and to the station. Location with fantastic views of Mt. Fuji - there is a gorgeous park a 2-minute walk away with an amazing view and also a roof top platform as well. Dinner was a feast, amazing traditional breakfast as well. Wonderful service. The most welcoming staff I ever met and amazing service. They even helped us to book bus tickets to Tokyo. Room was nice, with amazing view of Mt. Fuji, hot tub and sauna. We really enjoyed breakfast and dinner, meals were exceptional.

Lovely traditional Ryokan, the friendliest host ever. If you want to experience the traditional ryokan way, without all the (overpriced) luxuries, then this is the best option in Fujikawaguchiko.
