The location was extremely quiet and it was in a lovely neighbourhood, the beds were very comfortable. There was space to park one car and the washing machine was very handy.

Staying here was like entering another world. We were picked up by a very friendly and helpful driver who pointed out points of interest on the way up to the house on the hill. There we were greeted by a lovely lady who escorted us into the lobby were a friendly, young man checked us in. The lovely lady then escorted us up to our room and showed us were everything was, made us tea and made sure we had fitting yukatas to wear. The room was very spacious with an incredible view over to the iconic "floating" Tori gate. We spent our first our just sitting on the window sill with our tea taking in the breathtaking scenery. Dinner was an adventure of most excellent Japanese cuisine. The private onsen was lovely. It is a hop and a skip down some steps into the village and down to the sea and I recommend a walk at twilight and night to really enjoy the place before the daytripping crowds come in the morning. The staff were so nice and helpful and on the day of departure they offered us to leave our luggage with them while we went for a hike and when it was time to leave we could simply call them from the port and the driver brought it down from the hill in the little car. I would love to stay here again. Just perfect!

The staff were exceptional. They provided expert advice and assistance with everything from restaurant bookings to luggage transfers. The hotel is stunning with amazing views of the sea and Torii gate. We upgraded on the second day to a bigger room with a temple view and it was really worth it. The staff were so helpful in this regard. The restaurant was very good. The rooftop terrace was amazing with stunning views. The private bean bag rest areas were perfect for our teenagers to chill out. I would highly recommend this hotel. Miyajima is so beautiful with so much to see and do, and a great location for a day trip to Hiroshima.

The Ryokan was situated very centrally in Myajima, and is of a very high standard. The shared Onsen on the roof is facing the bay with views of the famous Tori gate. The room we had was incredibly comfortable, with large comfort beds and pillows.

Renewed in 2013, Sakuraya offers affordable Japanese-style rooms with mountain or sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute walk away.

Beautiful location, and exceptional property! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming! If you want to experience exceptional hospitality and immerse yourself in Japanese traditions and culture I can just recommend it!

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath.

I love this place, was a different night in Japan, sleeping in a traditional room. The room and the place was very quiet, comfortable and clean. The personal service was very kind with us. We enjoyed so much the traditional Japanese breakfast. I totally recommended stay at least one night here.
