Three nights of keiseki dinners, each better than the last. We had a huge comfy tatami room, the onsen were fab, the staff were incredibly kind, dropping us into town each day and collecting us in the afternoon, making it easy to enjoy marvellous Matsumoto. Thee traditional room and futons were comfy (though the duvet was a bit warm). The onsen was perfect and the dinner an breakfast were truly Japanese and all very good.
