Even though the location is distant, it provides peacefulness. Breakfast and dinner were both thoughtfully prepared. Additionally, it is delectable. The quantity is enormous; it is nearly impossible to consume it in its entirety. The thermal spring is outstanding. It is very relaxing to soak. The owner is exceedingly hospitable. I was generally quite impressed.

Hotel Fuki no Mori is a 20-minute ride from JR Nagiso Train Station on the hotel’s free shuttle. Guests can enjoy walks at the garden or the scenic areas surrounding the hotel.

Onsen was clean and comfortable. Food was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Located in a forest, Tokonamiso offers a nature retreat with Japanese-style rooms, barbecue facilities and free WiFi access in the lobby area.

Felt like the price quality ratio was quite good, considering the comfortable beds, great onsen with outside bath with no roof, hence able to stay in the onsen and just look at the stars , quiet location in the mountains. We went by car and parked for free, but I understand they have some shuttle buses for one of the nakasendo posttowns.

阿寺温泉 フォレスパ木曽あてら荘, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Okuwa, 14 km from Kotoku-ji Temple, 14 km from Sekibutsu Kanzan Jittoku Statue, as well as 16 km from Otsumago.

The staff was super friendly, they offer us shuttle bus from the train station which was great. Location is ideal If you are doing the nakasendo route. The onsen and the fun was great, I don’t know why so many people left negative comments because we found it just ideal for what we were looking for

This is as good as a Ryokan can get. You are treated like a valued family member and the cottages are historical and charming. The cuisine artfully prepared by very creative Masaya Yashida (a member of the family owning the place for over 400 years) served with love in the room is unique and features a lot of vegetables and other local ingredients. Nothing is too much for them and they offer you all kind of transfers, not only to the train station, but also to departure points of the Nakasendo walk. Value for money is fantastic and I wonder how they do. Best place ever I have been in Japan and in general I do not write reviews.

It was a great Ryokan experience, slept wonderfully in the futon beds and the room was very confortable. The lavatory facilites were very adequate and clean. The staff were lovely! Reception gave us a welcoming drink and had a small bread and soup as complimentary breakfast. The walls in the ryokan are thin and you could hear pretty well the street noises so it was best to sleep with ear plugs, but even the staff mention this issue and offer ear plugs, it was very thoughtful.

Staff were very attentive. I was really sick on the first day and the lady in the restaurant noticed that I could not eat much and came up to ask what happened. They cooked congee for me on the other day as breakfast that helped me a lot.I would highly recommend this hotel to others and definitely will come back again.
