Everything was clean, the room was amazing, clean yukatas and haoris were provided daily, the futon beds were very comfortable. This Ryokan is very well located as it's very close to the Kintetsu-Nara train station (with direct trains to both Kyoto and Osaka) and the main streets while still in a very quiet area. The area is quiet but very central and within walking distance to all major attractions. The staff was very helpful and polite and they accommodated all of my requests. We had previously paid $300 per night at a ryonkan of similar standard in Kyoto and this was almost as much value for a much lower price. The room was huge. The location was the best we'd had during our stay as it is right near the food market and main part of town. The staff were so lovely. The Onsen was wonderful although I recommend getting there soon after 5pm when it is filled as it cools down quickly. The personal was very kind and they were always trying to help. They took care of our luggage before the check in and after the check out. The room was amazing with tatami floor and they left a yukata for each gest. The Onsen was amazing and very relaxing. Room did have ensuite bathroom, but we enjoyed the nice big hot shared baths available, much like going to a sento. Yukata were provided too.
