We stayed here the night before we went on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and it was the perfect stopover. Really lovely staff, clean, quiet and a great location. Its simple, but charming, and they can arrange the baggage transfer to Toyama :) Note: bathroom is shared, slippers are provided for wearing indoors and you might want to bring a sleep mask as the blinds are not opaque.

The outside onsen was very nice in the morning and evening and complemented the downstairs onsen. It's a real onsen. The staff and owner excel at hospitality and going the extra mile to help you provide advice and give the traditional welcome, which is often missing from the more modern mass market onsens. We were served food in a private room, and the dinner and breakfast were exceptional.

This hotel is bigger than a family-run hotel but feels Japanese hospitality . Big room with the Japanese decor and surprisingly comfy futon atop tatami mats. They have dry room underground floor. Medium size bathroom (onsen) in hotel. Located in the heart of Hakuba city near bus stop to many ski fields. "Woody" Equipment rental shop is only 20 steps away, and there's a discount available.

Good communication with the owner beforehand. Perfect location near the train station and the bus station to Ogisawa. Our luggage were taken care of by the owner in the morning and were waiting for us at Toyama station after doing the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Very nice Ryokan overall with confortable futons.

The staff were really kind and allowed us to leave our luggage there when we went on our round trip up Tateyama. Onsen was comfy for 2 people and the tatami beds were comfortable too! Good value for money in Omachi and super close to the station.
