Facing the seafront, Awaji Hamarikyu is a ryokan providing a 5-star accommodation in Minamiawaji. It features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, open-air bath and private parking. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a lift and free shuttle service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Guests also enjoy access to the sauna and hot spring bath, as well as the hot tub and public bath. We got a good deal while coming off season and wanted to experience an onsen resort while visiting Japan. The meals were very good traditional Japanese food. The onsens were very nice and not busy, and the rooms were traditional and spacious. The town this hotel is in doesn’t have a lot going on so expect to spend your time in the room/onsen. We did walk down the road to a shrine on the beach, then walked back to the hotel along the beach, hoping to catch the sunset. Unfortunately, it was a hazy day and we didn't get a great sunset, but it was a very nice walk back!

Overlooking Osaka Bay, Yumekaiyu Awajishima boasts 2 stylish restaurants and a variety of hot-spring baths. Free WiFi and a private bathroom with a bathtub are included in some rooms.

All rooms at Yumekaiyu Ryokan have a TV and a fridge. Some feature a balcony. Japanese rooms with tatami (woven-straw) floors and traditional futon bedding are also on offer. This property was an exceedingly lovely experience. The location was perfect in the little town and very walkable to shopping, bus transportation, restaurants, and other eateries. The location also was centrally located for all the attractions on Awaji Island and I highly recommend taking the SoMa bus if you don't have a car to all the botanical gardens and other attractions on the island. The traditional Onsen spas is a must to try! I have never had an spa this exceptional in anywhere I have traveled to and I highly recommend the spa services. There is an Ayurvedic treatment of warm oil dripping on your forehead as you receive a head massage. The food is par excellence, featuring local products that will not disappoint. Their dessert bar with hand-made ice creams and treats are a delight. The service was exceptional! We had an English speaking staff member, Sara, who made our trip incredibly comfortable. Sara is extremely knowledgeable and assisted us in transportation to our separate airports. I will be going back and brining my husband who needs to experience this sensational resort hotel.
