Featuring a spa bath, Shikinosato Hanamura is located in Minamioguni. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Providing free WiFi throughout the property, the ryokan is allergy-free and features a hot spring bath. We absolutely loved everything about this peaceful ryokan—the beautiful grounds, the delicious Kaiseki meals, the relaxing onsens (both private and public), the clean and comfortable room, and the incredibly kind staff. A standout feature was the private dining room assigned to each guest room, which added an extra touch of exclusivity and charm.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan features 5 hot-spring baths, including a 30-metre long cave bath. Located in the centre of Kurokawa hot-spring area, it offers Japanese accommodations and free WiFi at the lobby. Free shuttle is available to/from Ogunimachi Yu Station and bus stop Kurokawa. The osen experience is unique. We did the cave and the open-air osen. The old building, and the open-fire grill for dinner, the beef, etc... It is right next to the river and it is in the center of the town. Very conveniently located. A lot of tourists take selfies in front of the buildings so it is a destination on its own.

The ryokan serves Japanese seasonal dishes at its dining room, which features an open kitchen. Teahouse Warabe offers self-service coffee. A variety of Japanese shochu liquor, wines and other drinks can be enjoyed at bar Kura. We stayed in Shion room which was really special with a stove in the living room, a foot bath room and indoor bath. The outdoor public bath was really good too, and not crowded at all in the morning. The service provided by all the staff was very welcoming, making us feel relax and comfortable. Really enjoy the stay.

Situated in the centre of the Kurokawa Onsen Area and boasting a total of 8 indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, Nanjoen offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding. Gorgeous traditional ryokan, with beautifully appointed rooms—we had one of the en-suite onsen baths, and I highly recommend it! The dinners and breakfasts were sumptuous and almost too much food, all very delicious. The staff is friendly, impeccable, and very helpful. The area itself is also lovely, with plenty of shops and nearby onsens to explore.
