Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan features a 1,650-square-meter Japanese garden, natural hot spring baths, free Wi-Fi, an on-site bar, cafe, souvenir shop and an exclusive lounge for guests staying in rooms on the 4th floor. Spacious table-seating in the dining room, all tables having a view of the garden (really a park-like setting) and a menu that deserves an international rating at the highest levels, and that applies to both dinner (the landscape outside the glass wall is softly illuminated) and breakfast that offers Western coffee selections and the best of Japanese tea. We booked two nights and we were delightfully surprised to find that both the dinner and breakfast menus were varied. The wait staff and chefs paced the meal to our habits, and as English-speaking guests we never were challenged in communications.

Situated 400 metres from Nagasaki Museum of History, 3.3 km from Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and 3.9 km from Peace Park, 和みの宿 おりがみ features accommodation located in Nagasaki. The air-conditioned accommodation is 700 metres from Nagasaki Station, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The ryokan has family rooms. I stayed at a traditional Japanese room and I fell in love with it. Super beautiful and cozy, and really, really loved it! Also, the manager was a super sweet man who made sure I was feeling comfortable. Every morning you get fresh towels, yukata and toiletries together with a coffee sachet from their cafe (Origami Cafe & Whiskey bar) When I booked I feared the location would be too far from downtown but not at all, Nagasaki is super easy to walk around and everything is close by either by foot or by well-connected public transport. He leaves coffee (from I loved my stay here and I would absolutely return here.
