We absolutely loved our stay here
The dinner/breakfast served is amazing, a lot of options even for non-vegetarians
The place felt very clean and well taken care of.
We felt welcome even though it feels like a place mainly for tourists, we would still definitely recommend the experience even for one night to see the morning ceremony
The room is amazing, very spacious and with great views to the garden and temple, offers a lot of amenities, welcome tea and snack, yakata, toothrbrush, hair comb etc.

It was such an amazing, unique experience. The monks are most welcoming and accommodating. Ryokan style rooms with futons, which can be a bit hard, as expected (part of the experience). The place looks incredible, still attains so much history and ancient culture within its walls. It was incredible to be a part of that for a bit and attending the ceremonies was the highlight of our stay.

Great hospitality, facilities, tatami with futon, just a foot away from the bus stops to get to the main shrines of the area
The dinner and breakfast were wonderful, and very carefully prepared. The room was a beautiful traditional-style one, with tatami and futon. The staff were all extremely helpful and kind, and we were even able to purchase some charms. The public bath was very clean and well-kept, and it was interesting to experience it. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The onsen hot spring next to the river was awesome. The water was a bit on the hot side, but changing to the river to cool down created a nice rhythm.
This old-ryokan sits atop a hill overlooking the beach town of Shirahama and some of the elegant rooms have ocean views. While the rooms are tatami-mat traditional, facilities are good and there are western beds. The ryokan has a good onsen and the Japanese breakfasts are spectacular, while also giving a nod to Western tastes.i didn’t get to use the bar or billiard room.
Unique experience of lodging in a beautiful buddhist temple. The place has a very special atmosphere. The (buddhist vegetarian) dinner and breakfast were rich and very tasty. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. Good onsen bath. Traditional Japanese-style room (tatami mats and futon beds) was really spatious and comfortable.
A good hostel, in a good location (though Yunomine onsen is not that big). It had a nice tatami common area that even had a few games provided, such as go. The hostel had its own private hot springs, that are free to use: a lovely outdoor bath, a relatively big indoor bath and a rather small indoor bath. We had booked a private room, not big but fine with three persons. We received bento boxes for dinner and you could grab rice for free. There was also free rice porridge for breakfast. Overall very good value for the price.
I had a great time in Nagisaya Hotel. The room is in traditionnel japanese style (tatami and futon on floor) and had a wonderful view on the sea. The hotel offers interior and exterior onsen where I had my best time with the view on the moutain and a little on the sea (only men onsen has total view on the sea, women are on the other side). The staff is really friendly.
Dinner and breakfast was superb. Loved the old style room with the tatami mats, futon , river view/sounds and japanese style table and chairs. Tattoo friendly onsen in this place and bonus onsen by the river. Staff friendly, helpful and informative. Wi fi reception excellent!
Very nice owner. Good location close to the bus stop. Genuine Japanese experience of staying in Ryokan, among others with sleeping on the tatami. Digging own onsen at a river side is amazing. Food needs to ordered earlier than on arrival.
