We felt welcome even though it feels like a place mainly for tourists, we would still definitely recommend the experience even for one night to see the morning ceremony The room is amazing, very spacious and with great views to the garden and temple, offers a lot of amenities, welcome tea and snack, yakata, toothrbrush, hair comb etc.

Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eko-in. The whole experience was fantastic and we really enjoyed all of the activities offered by the temple staff. It was very clean and everything ran very smoothly. Would highly recommend the tour to the cemetery.

All the facilities were extremely clean, the onsen was comfortable and not crowded ( the temple is very small). All the personnel serving us were very nice and always ready to help.

Ryokan style rooms with futons, which can be a bit hard, as expected (part of the experience). The place looks incredible, still attains so much history and ancient culture within its walls. It was incredible to be a part of that for a bit and attending the ceremonies was the highlight of our stay.
