The staff were quite friendly and tried to help me log in to the hotel wifi on my tablet, which unfortunately proved to be impossible. I liked the good choice of food at breakfast, the large room, good TV and comfortable bed.

The shower was mouldy around the bottom. The duvets were hardly big enough for the single beds. Biggest problem was that the ground floor bedroom was on the street level and as the hotel bar closed at 2am all those passing were loud and disruptive. We didn’t get to sleep till gone 3am. I know the bar can’t control the noise of customers on the street but when you’ve been told it’s a quiet room it’s very annoying. On the plus side the staff and food in the bar was good.

I really like Dundee but have only started visiting fairly recently. Prior to that it was always somewhere we stopped for a quick snack before heading on to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
For my 11 year old, she loves the shopping as we do let her loose by herself (which is not something I would allow in Glasgow or Edinburgh, too big) and I like the culture. The Discovery and the V&A are right next to each and good for a visit. The HMS Unicorn is also worth a visit and we have enjoyed the Science Centre and Camperdown Park previously.
There are some lovely pubs and restaurants, I have never met any rude staff, they are always so lovely and friendly.
Highly recommend a wee visit.

Plenty of things to do and see. We were there for a gig at The Caird Hall love the intimate atmosphere of the venue. Plenty of shops pubs and eating places. Easy to get to although new LEZ might be a bit of a nuisance for city centre things

Well I am going to say it is great going to Dundee as I am an expat.
Not too impressed with the V&A, Lovely building but disappointing inside. McManus is better. Up the Law Hill is well worth the visit even in the cold and wind etc. and Broughty Ferry is great for shopping and pubs etc.

Only a brief visit (open day visit to one of the Universities with son from England). Wish we had longer - lovely small city, friendly atmosphere and very beautiful location. New design museum a must. Will be back to see more of city and area, even if son does not end up at the Uni.

City centre has good museums and nice walks along the river. Good transport and city centre restaurants. Fabulous Thai restaurant next door to hotel, Italian and Indian restaurants short bus/taxi ride away. Good cafes for breakfast. Regular buses to seaside. Would have enjoyed better pubs without football screens. Hotels better for a quiet drink.

Visit Shackleton and Scotts ship Discovery, just outside the hotel, across the road, 5 mins away plus V&A. Also Dundee is where the Beano comic is published and it’s characters are featured in the V&A and in the city.
An attractive hotel in a pretty location. Combines quality with a nice relaxed vibe. Staff across the board are very friendly, kind and professional. The hotel as a whole makes you feel secure, welcome and comfortable. There are on-site bar/restaurant facilities. I didn't personally eat breakfast or dinner at the hotel but I did enjoy a glass or two of wine looking out to the waterside view. It is a reasonable walk to and from Dundee City Centre as long as you are fit and mobile. There is also free on site parking.
The hotel is an older building that has been beautifully upgraded. Our room was large, fitted out with a smart mini kitchen and a modern bathroom. The furnishings were very comfortable and well organized. We also had a super view over the River Tay. The owner is obviously a tech enthusiast as the room had an iPad with Alexa to answer questions and even operate the curtains and lights!
Highly recommended!
Another cracking stay in a club room at the Malmaison in Dundee. We ate at the brasserie in the hotel this time round - a highly civilised experience.
Lovely room on the 6th floor - bed was so comfortable it was a shame that we had to leave early in the morning to head to work! Great shower and bathroom.
Parking over the road, and free bewteen 6pm and 8am.
Back soon!
Staff were amazing. The room was really comfortable and had everything supplied. The hotel is really quirky, being three little cottages combined into one. The restaurant was great - the fish and chips was first class! You can stroll along the sea to the Broughty Castle. I would highly recommend The Fisherman's Tavern to anyone going to Dundee as it's not far from the city.
Great hotel, super modern decor, contemporary, next door to train station, museums, waterside, town centre, right next to coach stop on arrival, restaurant looked nice although I had made alternative arrangements for meals, staff were helpful and welcoming, I was on a trip to watch football matches in different towns but look forward to returning for next visit to Dundee
Location was fab just a short bus trip away from centre . Hotel was excellent, bed was massive with the comfiest pillows ever. Staff were the most welcoming, breakfast was amazing, Annie was so friendly. Making sure that we had everything we needed. . Beautiful gardens, swimming poo,l and we used sauna too. We will definitely be back here 😁
Overnight stay while my daughter got started at Ninewells Hospital. Short taxi trip to hospital. Staff young and all very pleasant and more than helpful. Took opportunity of the dinner, bed and breakfast deal and it was super value. Hotel is a secret gem on the outskirts of Dundee set in beautiful grounds. Will certainly visit again.
Aesthetically the hotel is great & has everything you could want in the room itself - bed was comfy, kitchenette well stocked, en suite great with steam free mirror section. There is also (limited) parking and it's location is good for going into the centre of Dundee and slessor gardens. It's also (mostly) dog friendly which is a bonus.
Great hotel in a great location, only 17min to Dundee city centre. Unfortunately the internet connection was horrendous. 3G and still buffering. Couldn’t use the iPad with iPhone Bluetooth. If your looking for a top hotel look no further, if your holiday making…..
fantastic value for money hotel. Lovely big bed and large shower room. Location was perfect for me. This is where I will be staying when I'm in Dundee from now on. Can't recommend enough. The staff were really polite and helpful.
A standard Holiday Inn Express, but that is what you want when you book a Holiday Inn Express. It's a good, well-maintained hotel with comfortable rooms. Nothing remarkable, but I'd be perfectly happy to go back again.
Good value for money.. room was a good size.. decent bed and bathroom. Couldn’t fault it for the price it was and what you get.. compared to other hotels I stayed in.. in Dundee to was just as good as the 3 stars
Lovely stay in Dundee. The apartments are really nice, the whole place was very clean! Location was great, just a short walk into town or the V&A. Also very close to a large M&S which was handy.
