This guesthouse is a Gem! Charming vintage style coupled with beautifully clean rooms with a good shower & a very comfortable bed. Host could not have been friendlier making me very welcome from the start. Breakfast was a very good selection of cereals, toast, croissants, fruits, pan au Chocolat & cereal bars. Given the very central & perfect location it was quiet & peaceful. A blissful stay & I shall return.

Gosport is pleasant. The area around Spring Garden Lane Apartments has some lovely houses, a beautifully converted rail station, green open areas.
We ate at The New Benghal Indian restaurant. We also lunched at The Gosport Cafe. Both were very good.
The apartment was within walking distance of the Gosport passenger ferry which takes you Portsmouth harbour.

The fun fare, archades, Fish n chips, nice ice cream shop on Lea in Solent and one stop shop near the Old Lodge hotel - excellent.
The toilets on the Lee on Solent need attention - for hand-washing, water was not working and there was no soap.

Great walk along sea front, lovely view over to the Isle of Wight. Watching the Sailing boats was very relaxing. Gosport town doesn’t have much to offer, but a ferry across to Gunwharf Keys, is a great idea.
Every thing went well The breakfast was excellent the staff bent over backwards in every way. All staff at the Hotel did every thing they could to oblige in all areas. Even to the point of seeing me off at the end of my stay I will use this Hotel when i visit Gosport again i would Recommend it to every one
The hotel is a stunning old building in a beautiful location. We had a sea view room which gave us a panoramic view of the ocean and surrounding trees. There was a roll top bath inside the windows which felt like absolute luxury. The room had such nice touches to the decoration, it really felt as though love and care had been put into everything. The staff were ever so welcoming too; couldn’t do enough for us. Our dogs were made to feel right at home.
The town house was fully equipped and very clean. The bus to and from Gosport Harbour is on your doorstep. Perfect.
The parking spot at the rear of the building is made for English cars 😁 or foreign drivers with parking skills🤭. But it is yours and very safe. You need a car to visit everything you want to see and do, because there are no shops in the neighbourhood.
The location was easy to find
Great for staying in Gosport, also visiting the surrounding areas
The terrace was perfect addition to the property
Lovely beds, T. V in every bedroom
Lots of different and really good extras left for us
The host was really great to deal with
My grandson loved the shower
I payed for an executive room on arrival late at the hotel the room was very small lots of damp patches on the wall , bathroom tiny !
Discussed with receptionist next morning who was very helpful and moved us into a premier room which was a lot better.
Breakfast very good !!
Our stay at Spring Garden was fantastic, really lovely apartment. With everything you could need for a relaxing break.
Was a pleasure to meet Heather lovely lady with great stories to tell about the building and surrounding area.
Great quiet location, lovely walks by the Solent or through the woods from the hotel grounds. Nice sea view garden to eat/sit in. Cute historic building. The Continental breakfast was croissants, yogurt, fruit and toast.
It was a great welcome by Kirsty. The location was excellent, and the hotel was easy to find. There was off road parking for a number of cars, if the hotel had been full, then road parking would have been needed.
Very nice historic pub and hotel, good location not far from an excellent coastal park, great pub with excellent attentive staff, large comfortable room, very good bed, very good shower.
The owner and other staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. They made our short stay very memorable and we would certainly stay at the Alverbank Hotel again when visiting the area.
Massive full English !! Very comfy bed and clean and tidy room 6.
Hotel upgrades in operation so full potential will be reached very soon but a good place to stay now.
The breakfast and location were perfect. The hosts were lovely and I really enjoyed my stay there. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, simple stay in Gosport.
Gorgeous room with above standard amenities. Comfy bed. Great location for Gosport/Portsmouth Harbour/Gunwharf. Easy to find and walk to from ferry. Great breakfast.
