Hotel being refurbished. Everything felt new. Excellent value for money. Rooms very comfortable. Quiet location but the excellent Hoppa bus got us to our terminal in no time.

First its an older hotel, but very close to Gatwick, with a very early flight they start the breakfast at 4AM which was great since I was leaving at 6am. The room was fine, the bathroom modern with a great shower, really all my surprises were on the positive side. I would definitely recommend for a short term stay near Gatwick airport. The breakfast was great.

Pleasant little town with a good range of restaurants and...
Pleasant little town with a good range of restaurants and pubs so we had a range of options for dinner. We were only there for an early morning flight from Gatwick so didn't spend time exploring - although it did look as though there would be good walks in the surrounding countryside. We ate at the Wetherspoons a that is an inexpensive option; the staff were very friendly and the ambience was good. Would certainly choose to stay in Horley again if we needed a night's accommodation before a morning flight from Gatwick.

Many people stay in the area because its so close to Gatwick airport. When you are there, make sure to check out Ye Olde Six Bells. Its a great restaurant that was built in the 1400's as part of a monastery.Melinda - 4.0Scored 4.0
The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk...
The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells.
There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. The manager was very kind to change my room when I requested a bath tub rather than a shower. The shuttle service to and from Gatwick airport worked perfectly for me. I was not aware that the temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is so close to this airport and hotel. I included a photo of that temple from my visit. An easy taxi ride got me there and back.

Our room was round the corner from the main entrance and was clean and comfortable. It's a 5 minute taxi ride from Gatwick Airport. As we were leaving early we didn't have breakfast there.
