Beautiful old building, spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. Food was lovely too.

I loved the three rooms that made up this overnight stay. The fridge was a massive bonus. Very comfortable and carefully decorated. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. Loved watching the cows in the morning just outside the property!

The town itself didnt seem to have alot going for it.
The town itself didnt seem to have alot going for it. Most shops were shut and the food options were poor. I stood at the bar at the Fountain Inn for 10 minutes waiting for a staff member to appear and no one did.

Okehampton was a cosy little place. The people seem exceptionally friendly.
Ma'ida was a good meal and you can bring your own booze from the nearby Lidl... if you're exceptionally stylish, like what we are.

Okehampton is typical of most small market towns, there are a couple of nice pubs, not many places to eat except the two pubs and takeaways. The Town Hall, opposite the White Hart, is a beautiful building, there are some pleasant walks around Simmons Park and the Castle is worth a visit. The railway has reopened with trains running to Exeter which is fantastic, although when we went, the train we were going to come back on was cancelled, which was annoying when there is only one an hour.

We picked up a local leaflet for Okehampton from our hotel, which gave an enjoyable walk around the main points of the town and brief details of some history. There are numerous coffee shops, hotels and other places for a coffee and/or snack. Lots of independent shops in the little arcades and along the high street.
We got the warmest of welcomes from Natasha when we got to the Seven Stars, with a cup of tea on arrival.
Our room was small, but with everything we needed and very clean and newly decorated.
Both Natasha and Colin were attentive hosts, clearly very proud of their B&B, which they have renovated from scratch.
We had a lovely supper, with a roaring log fire going in the dining area.
Breakfast was just as good.
The village and church were lovely.
All of it. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and well maintained. Bathroom had a large modern shower and was equally spacious. Likewise the dining room was well decorated and maintained and the cooked breakfasts were spot on. I would thoroughly recommend this guest house and would be my first place to check if/when I next visit Okehampton. Thank you for you lovely service and welcome.
Right on the Devon C2C, the White Hart is a fantastic place for cyclists (or anyone else for that matter. Really friendly welcome. Great secure cycle lockers and hose for cleaning bikes. My room was massive and super clean and comfy. It was also quiet, which is a real bonus at a pub. Food was excellent and brilliant value. Staff really lovely. Great value overall. Faultless, thank you!
The cottage was immaculate and well equipped with everything that we needed. Ginny was very welcoming and helpful. The garden was stunning and all in all a really beautiful place to stay with a local pub just down the road with great food. Great location for exploring Dartmoor and other local towns and villages in Devon and Cornwall. Thanks very much again, we will be back x
A stunning period Manor- set in wonderfully maintained gardens. Lovely welcome on arrival, good information prior to arrival on where to book an evening meal. Rooms were lovely and shower hot. Nice lounge and bar area. Very helpful in storing our bicycles. Breakfast was full and hearty with a lovely fresh fruit salad. Hotel Managers very helpful and friendly.
The staff was very friendly and smiley! The room was simple and inexpensive, which was all I needed as a solo traveler. Best for backpackers and budget travelers. Wifi worked great. No issues with check-in/out, breakfast, keys, bathroom, etc. Nice wooded area -- 40 min walk along paths to Okehampton, and 20 min to Meldon Viaduct. I would stay again.
Large room in the farm house which was clean. Beds and facilities not quite up to hotel quality, but so long as you understand this before hand it should not matter, as we slept well and we were comfortable. Breakfast was good and hosts, who were obviously hard working and friendly, catered for my wife’s dietary needs. The b&b is also dog friendly.
The location was peaceful and quiet in a beautiful old Devon village. Our room was spotlessly clean and warm with an en-suite and everything you needed for our stay. The breakfast was delicious and our hosts very friendly and informal. Parking was easy but you do need a car to get there. It was excellent value for money.
The Tors is in a delightful village right on Dartmoor, and has been beautifully refurbished in the last 2 years. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The owner of the pub is delightful -- gracious, smart, and a font of knowledge about the area.
Knole farm is on the outskirts of a Devon village, very quiet, beautiful views from the garden. We were welcomed warmly by the host, had a very comfortable room and enjoyed an excellent breakfast! Would definitely return!
Breakfasts were very good served by friendly staff. The family room was a very good size and suited our purposes very well.
The location was great and allowed us to venture out on day trips in Devon and Cornwall.
Beautifully located just outside Okehampton, opposite a great pub and next to a National Trust site - Finch Foundry.
Very comfortable room with a separate bathroom and small kitchen/dining area.
The location was perfect for exploring the whole of Devon as it was very central and close to the A30. Kelvin and Sue were great hosts, and Sue's scones were the best.
Hotel had everything we needed, cheap drinks and food in the pub, very good size family room and was quiet on our stay. Receptionist was great really nice and helpful.
