The location is 4 mins walk from the train station in amongst some really lovely bars and restaurants. The room itself is super cute and it is clear the host has put some real thought on what could make your stay special. The room has all the amenities you need and is given a quick clean every day. A choice of hot or cold breakfast is available, which was tasty.

Entry was via codes emailed in advance. The apartment was very secure, requiring codes at three separate locations to get in (gate code, main door code, apartment door code). Inside, it was very clean (apart from under the beds) and modern. The electric radiators heated up the apartment very quickly. The car park was very handy and secure.

A good base to visit Peak District. Shopping centre in decline. Local bus services in decline but possible to reach Hayfield and Buxton. Plus very good train service to Manchester, London, Birmingham etc. Some good eateries - especially excellent Plums Kitchen.

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. The town is of a manageable size with pretty parks, and it has various small events going on in the local pubs, plus each month there is the Treacle Market, which is a popular feature of Macclesfield.

I came for the silk museum and the Paradise Mill which I can recommend both. The Treacle Market on the last Sunday of the month was a good experience. The weather was sunny, but often was a chill strong wind, I missed a hat. It takes only 30 minutes to travel by train to Manchester, and about 2 hours to London. There are good restaurants and pubs! There are many places to take a nice walk in the nature of the surrounding area, but unfortunately I had to postpone them.

The Tytherington hotel is well worth a stay as they have a good Spa & pool. Another small hotel nearby is BoHotel & eatery, lovely. Free car parking available for the town centre too.

I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure.
I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure. It is a small town where shops and restaurants generally close quite early.
I did not have anytime to do any sightseeing in the town or outside - so I cannot really comment about the place from a leisure point of view.
This is an amazing apartment. Great size, with everything you would need. Well looked after and cared for, and within the perfect location. The centre has plenty of shops to roam around, you are down the road from the train station so you can venture out easily and parking (although needing to pay each day) was easy once I learnt I could do it online.
Being close to the church and hearing it chime made this stay for me. It felt very homely and I would love to stay here again.
The receptionist who greeted guests upon arrival, very welcoming and helpful.
The deco of the reception area, bar and dining room were lovely. Enjoyed sitting in the mini sun room which is just off the dining room.
The hotel did not smell of dog which was something I was worried about. The dogs that stayed were very well behavioured and you barely noticed their presence.
Telly was extremely accommodating to arrange transfer of keys, and a quick tour of the property. The facilities were clean, adequately supplied with linens, kitchen utensils, wifi, full cooker/stove. It was perfect for my needs (a self-contained place from which to visit a sick relative).
Proximity to the centre of town, and the train station is a whopping PLUS!

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The SPA facilities were good overall, massages were excellent and hydrotherapy (pools) were fine. I would add a bit more hydrotherapy to make it more complete, but it was acceptable. Staff was nice, and food in the bar was decent (it could be better, though, for a 4* hotel).
The location is great - close to the train station and shops and canal of Macclesfield and is very quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked with all utensils needed. We had a bottle of Prosecco left for us which we drank on our anniversary - nice touch. The host was available for all queries that we had.
I had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage.
Perfect location for walking into the town centre to enjoy the many attractions of Macclesfield. Clean and comfortable facilities with lots of charm, everything provided to make my stay a special one. Can't wait to come back again! Many thanks to Dan.
We all really enjoyed our staff the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel could do with some investment but overall it’s a very pleasant venue with amazing views of the Cheshire plains.
The staff were friendly and helpful
Room comfortable. Hotel building interesting. Good area for walks. I was staying overnight on the way up North. I would like to go back to have time to explore.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff; location of hotel and quality of food. Nice lounge area to meet up before going through for meal. Quirky decore and boutique rooms.
