United StatesBeautiful stay on the East Side of the Cabot Trail in Indian Brook in Cape Breton at the very end of September. We were in the Loft Studio - it had been recently renovated with pine walls and floor - clean and lovely - lots of amenities, with a small kitchen area/sink. We were there only one night but would recommend 2 nights just to relax and explore the area. We went to a Caleigh in Baddeck in the evening (it was amazing!) and left the next morning to hike a bit on the Cabot Trail and continue over to the West side, stopping first for breakfast at the Clucking Hen Bakery and Cafe on the way (yummy breakfast and we bought pastries for on the road), just a minute or two from Rumi House. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets, and it was quiet, with only a car once in a while on the nearby road, which was cushioned by trees. Owner was quick to respond to messages and answered all of our questions before we arrived.

CanadaEverything was perfect! A reminder that one can live off grid and live very well. I left here determined to hone my self sufficiency skills. Meeting Regina was very nice. We left feeling like we’ve known her for a long time. She made us feel so welcome and at home. Her bread is absolutely amazing. We are eager to come again next year and hope to meet Christian too. So glad we found this retreat and loved the Bald Eagle’s Nest. Thank you very much for making a little 4 night vacation special.

The over 100 yr old home is well preserved & updated with all of the modern conveniences. The owner has put in much work, effort & pride in this home while keeping its rich history within her walls....

We really liked that we could use the sitting areas in the house outside our own room. E.g. a very nice suite with a beautiful view on the lake. We could also use the kitchen area, and it was no problem at all to bring food and eat at nicely located tables in the general area.
