We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home in Raches, Ikaria. The house was spotlessly clean and truly one of those rare places where you instantly feel at home. It was incredibly comfortable, and the thoughtful treats left for us were such a kind touch. Although you have to take a short dirt road to get there, it’s absolutely worth it for the stunning sunset views. Highly recommended!

That was an absolutely beautiful experience. The hosts are very warm and generous people. They helped us a lot with recommendations about life , beaches, food etc.in the island. The establishment is in a pretty welcoming village in the mountain, but not far from a couple of gorgeous beaches, and it was proved to be a very good base for exploring the island. We also liked the fact that the rooms are pretty independent so you are not disturbed and you don't disturb either, while being very comfortable. Extra bonuses were a big balcony, a very comfortable bed and a beautiful garden!

The house is cosy, with a comfortable bed and modern touches, full kitchen and amenities. We enjoyed everything : the kindness of our hosts, the location, the residence is awesome! We stayed in a wonderful suite, made with good taste (beautiful wood furniture for example) and the terrace was very pleasant. We had all the attention and some good advice for the local restaurants and feasts (panigiri) from our hosts. We, as a family of 5 with 3 young kids, highly recommend this accommodation. All the best for Erifi !

We are currently staying in Karavostamo but fancied a change of scenery. I had holidayed in Greece for 21 of the 26 years together, but recently my partner died and I have found it difficult to settle this year. The Mesaktis Rooms were exactly what I needed. A beautiful tranquil setting, our terrace looked down on to a small lagoon. The owners gave me and my friend homemade lemonade and the most delicious homegrown figs, which we consumed whilst overlooking the lagoon, which was home to over 30 turtles! We were given bread with which to feed them. What a sight to feast your eyes on while we drank our delicious lemonade! The accommodation is rustic, it’s not luxurious, but it’s what we both loved about this place. There are tavernas beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to make a simple meal. There are tavernas maybe 5 minutes walk away, a mini market next door, and over the road there is probably the best beach on Ikaria - Mesaktis beach. At the far end is a lagoon in which you can see even more turtles! The hosts, as you may have picked up on, were so generous and warm. I miss the place, the kittens and Sadi the dog already. This has been the standout experience so far of this 3 week Greek island hopping trip. I absolutely loved it, and it helped me along in my grief journey. To the owners: thank you for your hospitality, for letting me leave the car on your premises after we had checked out, and sorry for taking the room key!

Perfectly located a short step from the beach, restaurants and bars. Sea views on both sides and all of the adorable Greek cats that would come visit. The nicest little beach with crystal clear water, you can swim to two other beaches with beach bars etc and saw great things snorkelling too.

    Excellent apartments in the centre of a beautiful village at the heart of the Ikarian way of life. Your host, Kyriakos, makes sure everything runs smoothly. There's everything you need for a comfortable stay, excellent shower, kitchen, TV ... We chose the apartment with the terrace at the rear for a little more privacy.

    We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The location is nice, a small village with everything you need, a beautiful view from the living room, very spacious kitchen and living area, cute rooms and a very friendly owner and his family, part of which lives next to the house. We were always helped when needed and felt home immediately. Would definitely go back there!

    The location is perfect, it is away form the main tourism spots but still close to everything (Raches, Armenistis, ...). If you are looking for something quiet but not too far off, this is the place to be. The appartement had everything we needed, a balcony, a perch, and a kitchen (although we did not cook any warm meals because the restaurants nearby were simply too good). Chrysa is the perfect host, she is very welcoming and likable. She gave us lots of good tips on what to do or where to eat. We could always ask her if we had any questions.
