Lovely lodge near Santa Cruz, the Transportation from the dock to the lodge worked flawless. The staff is very friendly, helpful and fast (thanks again to Viandy, who did an amazing job and also booked for us the transportation from Gua city to the dock and back). We also enjoyed the free SUPs and Kayak. The vegan restaurant was amazing. We had the Thanksgiving dinner and some breakfasts and they tasted delicious. All in all it's an amazing location, very quiet and we really enjoyed it.

the property is rite on the lake with kyak and sup rentals .the view of the volcanos is just awesome .the outdoor kitchen was perfect .it's a new cabin with lots of hot water and power outlets everywhere I'm going to return in 2 weeks for another week. paradise man .

Thanks to our lovely host Lee, we stayed in the beautiful Casa Balam in a hummingbird filled garden beside the lake. Perfect small villa appartment for a couple, with cooking facilities. Early morning kayaks along the lake shore, clear water to swim in. We are definitely coming back.

Amazing house with the nicest view on the Lake Atitlan, sunrise there was amazing, view on the multiple volcanoes around, and even on the Fuego. Host is nice and caring. Kitchen well furnished downstairs, hot water, terrace with hammock.. all what you need to forget about time. Around 10/15 min hike to San Pablo Center, and 40min from San Marcos. I totally recommend !!

The cabin is located right on the bank of the lake, offering a stunning view once you leave the compound (there is a fence there for security reasons!) and the inside is cute and cosy. The kitchen equipment is slightly limited but was good enough for some tacos in front of the lake. The staff were very friendly and patient (I arrived not knowing it was cash-only, but they were trusting enough to let me go to the cash machine in my own time). Situated about 5 minutes walk from the village, it doesn't take long to reach the restaurants and bars, though is far enough to not be bothered by the noise.

    We really liked the location of the cabin right on the lake with a great view on the lake and the volcano. Right in front, you can rent kayaks and SUPs which was very practical and a recommendation. The cabin had a comfortable bed and a nice terrace from which you could view of the whole garden. Also practical that a kitchen is included in case you want to cook and they provide filtered water.

    It's conveniently located, very clean and offers a great view of the volcanoes from some of the suites. It offers credit card payments although staff prefer cash payments which is common in that area. The kitchenette in Suite 1 had all necessary kitchen utensils and a great private lounge/balcony.

    It was a beautiful, local Place. You live in a house with a beautiful Guatemalan couple. Johanita will serve you huge and tasty breakfast and the room is very comfortable with a phrnomenal lake view. You can even book cooking/artesanal classes or tours with them. (Cooking class will be in their own kitchen) Read the description for localization! It’s on google maps as well- knock on the door, they’ll put up a sign as well. Cause it’s new everything is super clean and beautiful.

    The apartment was very spacious and pretty and it is located in a very nice area with an amazing view. The kitchen is fully equiped and there is also a private swimming area with a few sunbeds.

    Great location with the best sunset views! It was a very spacious apartment with a well equipped kitchen. The updated bathroom is a big plus, you have nice vulcano views while taking a shower :). Also good contact with the host. Also, all the boats know the sunset lodge so its easy to get around by lancha.

    You get your own little house at the most beautiful location by the lake with volcano view just across. We were sad to leave it. If you a looking for a quiet and little out of the ordinary experience, then come here. If you like to cook there is an outside kitchen and patio.
