Everything was perfect. The lady who runs it has to be the friendliest person you'll ever meet. So helpful. Bed is electric heated so it's perfect is the night is cold. The welcome pack is soo much appreciated.

The facility was self catering, with a gas stove, microwave and refrigerator. Gas water and heater ensured a comfy unit at all times. The area was central to most major Irish towns/cities. Within driving distance of Dublin, Cork, Waterdale, Limmerick, Galway,and Killarney which made it excellent for many day trips. Just a short drive to Cashel which hosts the Cashel Rock, a monumental medieval cathedral of National significance.

The cottage looks absolutely beautiful, surpassing even the listing photos - especially for the upstairs bedrooms, which seemed to have undergone further renovations. Looks like something straight out of a Pinterest board. Exceptionally comfortable, with wonderful beds, a well equipped kitchen (both with food and all the applieances you could possibly need), bathrooms (one with a shower and one with bathtub), a lovely fireplace and ample space to store your belongings. The decor was pretty and plenty, reflecting a traditional, rural way of life. Chris was a wonderful host, accommodating, friendly and ready to help. We arrived at almost midnight, but he had no problem waiting up to welcome us, even returning when we rather stupidly locked ourselves out of the house. Secluded location with only a single neighbour, and a large meadow around the house. It makes for a peaceful environment, while still being easily accessible by the nearby road. Roscrea is a lovely town, and has a large Tesco to keep you stocked. With its location at the centre of the country, it's an ideal base to reach most of Ireland within a max. 2 hours long car drive. Thank you for making our stay a wonderful and memorable part of this trip. We'd highly recommend choosing Hopesgate Cottage to anyone looking for peace and comfort.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. When you wake up you can only hear the birds and the distant mooing of the cows. Padraic is very friendly and helpful provided us with lots of usefull information. The house is clean, cozy with spacious rooms and provided us with everything we needed. We would definitely like to return.
