Self Catering Accommodation in Höfn

It is located in middle of nowhere. The apartment is big, the kitchen is well equiped. The surrounding view is great. The beds were comfortable.

This home was perfect! A very comfortable room for 3 of us in 2 separated rooms, complete kitchen, clean toilet and nice sofa for relaxing. The best part was the view of northern light in front of the house.. so amazing! TQ host for assisting us in finding aurora : ))

We absolutely LOVED this cottage by the sea. I call it a "cottage" because (in my mind) instead of an "apartment" it seems to describe this freestanding lodging (with no other lodging nearby) better to me. This two bedroom, living room, dinning/kitchen, bath (with washing machine) was perfect for the 3 of us. There was plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped for space. As you approach the cottage, the area looks a bit industrial but don't let that put you off. Once you see the sign "Apartment by the Sea" you feel like you are in a time gone by. The cottage offers privacy, with an unbelievable view of the sea dotted with islands. On a calm morning it is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. We even spotted a seal taking a morning swim. There are several lovely restaurants within walking distance and the town has some shops and walking trails to enjoy. This town doesn't feel touristy but rather authentic Iceland. The owner met us at the apartment with the key and answered our questions.....as he was at the shop next door.....that was a surprise bonus.... the owners also own and operate a lovely boutique shop connected to the cottage giving 20% discount to renters. The building is a historic fishing processing site and built to withstand the strong winds common in this area. There are pictures inside of the original use of the building...oh, what would those fishermen think now. We loved this town and this lodging and highly recommend it.

Wonderful apartment. Amazing view from the living room. The apartment is very clean and very stylish. There is everything you need. Beds are comfortable. The bathroom is well equipped and everything worked without complaints. The kitchen is well equipped.

Was perfect and more than we expected super clean!

Great location a short drive to the Jokulsarlon and Diamond beach. The cottage was cozy with a nice loft and comfy beds after a long day on the road. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee was nice in the morning. Would recommend this place to those looking to overnight before or after visiting the major attractions in the region.

Appartement was well equiped and really cozy. I was almost sad that we were staying only for one night.

Very nice stay. Well equiped, clean, and easy to reach. We saw the Aurora sitting on the benches outsider the house.
