All in all, our stay at La Casa di Toti exceeded our expectation. Although accommodation by itself is pretty basic, experience of being there and spending time with the boys there was precious, helping them to accomplish contact with other people. Supporting institution like that is really something special and ethic. The breakfast consisted of three types of croissants, Nutella, jams and freshly squeezed orange juice. And, of course, getting Gabi's cup of coffee in the morning was the best.

We booked this last minute without much thought, but from the moment we arrived, we knew we’d made the right choice. Giulia greeted us so warmly and was immediately helpful in every way. Our room was perfect, with a charming little balcony overlooking the family garden, such a peaceful view. We felt instantly at home. And then came breakfast the next morning... My god. We were welcomed by Giorgio, Giulia’s father, who brought out trays of fresh, beautiful food, tomatoes picked straight from the garden, homemade desserts, marmalade… it was honestly a bite of paradise. Sitting in that garden each morning was something truly special and became one of the highlights of our trip. I also want to say that I fell ill on our second day and had to stay in bed. When Giorgio heard, he quietly began picking ingredients from his garden to make herbal teas and brought only food he thought would help me feel better. Such a kind, thoughtful man, his care was genuine and deeply appreciated. If you're visiting Modica, I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. Staying here will only enrich your experience. Maria and her family are the most helpful hosts I have ever met. The house is wonderful, cozy and decorated with great taste. Ideally located in Modica, the centre and its attractions only a short walk away. There is a free car park area nearby. I definitely recommend to spend at least a few days, because this house invites you relax, unwind and embrace the slow living style of one of the most beautiful areas of Sicily. Scicli, Ragusa Ibla, amazing beaches and a peaceful, quiet countryside are all within easy reach; this place will spoil you with options to discover and enjoy the history, the architecture and the amazing landscape of the area. Huge thanks to Maria for making me feel so welcome, her precious advice made my stay more enjoyable than I could have possibly ever imagined.
