Absolutely phenomenal place. I felt very comfortable here. New villa, with swimming pool. Well equipment kitchen. The apartment was extremely clean. The welcome by the host was very nice. There is private parking on the property. Ideal for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. By car to the beach 10 minutes. The host offered a later check out, so I was able to work in super conditions, for which I am very grateful. If you need vegetables and fruits I recommend you to go to Goodlands village market. :)

Loved the location, pool and just the general setting of the appartment. It was modern and practical. Everything was clean, The bed was comfortable. The appartment is found at the end of the first floor, so it's also quiet and private, we weren't bothered by anybody. The location is great since it's between Grand Baie and Pereybere which are both at walking distance. Otherwise having a car is a plus but not necessarily a must.

Jay is a great host. You feel at home anytime and he is very helpful for advices, local options and even support for activity booking. The breakfast in the garden is wonderful! Fresh and tasty and just perfect to start a great day. The room is large, gets a balcony facing the garden, is very clean and has a small en-suite kitchen and bathroom. Possibility to park next the house. It is located aside the main road which means more peacefull. Some restaurant options are located 300m away.

It is a very good place to stay. We liked it very much and we had a great time here. There are many things to see and Meema is a very good host. She also gives information about many things. The host is also a famous singer. He is called Guruji and he teaches many children about Tabla and music. He himself lives in South Africa, but his house is here. It was very nice to meet everyone and it felt like home. That is why we liked this place very much. We want other people to come and stay here too.

We can highly recommend Villa Island if you are looking for a good villa in quiet surroundings. You really get great value for money. The welcome was exceptional. Employee was waiting in the house when we arrived. Windows and doors were open, so the temperature was pleasant and there were fresh flowers. some food had been bought there, water and other necessities were in the fridge for the first day. Ani had even prepared a welcome dinner and set the table for us. As our journey to Mauritius had taken many hours, we were very grateful to be able to start the holiday relaxing. The house is in reality as the pictures show. Everything in the house worked as it should. WiFi is very fast. There is a table and 2 chairs on the terrace. There were extra towels and pool/beach towels. Cleaning was done during our stay. The house is located in an area where both locals and rental properties live. It is very quiet and the area is safe. The two shared swimming pools are cleaned. A car is an advantage in relation to shopping and excursions. Melville Public Beach is very nice. if you drive a little further and continue on the dirt road, it ends at a fine sandy beach. It is very beautiful and quiet here. Much of the time we were the only ones on the beach. Communication has been very good since we booked the house. Anaxi is very good at English and gave us the information we needed.
