Jan is a fantastic friendly host who we enjoyed getting to know a little. Location right in the harbour was awesome. Loved seeing the boats come in and out of the harbour from the sunny wheelhouse. Plus step off and you're right in the old town. The boat was immaculate and well equipped with all we needed. The steps typically steep dutch we got used to. Cosy beds. Not so good if you have mobility problems. Fortunately we didn't! Jan took us for a boat trip (extra cost naturally) which was great fun! We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you Jan!

My recent stay at De Kamer was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that Ilse and Jan had poured their hearts into creating a welcoming and enchanting haven for their guests. It was clear that Ilse and Jan had thought of every little touch to ensure a truly memorable experience. Their warm and genuine hospitality was what truly made the stay exceptional. Isle and Jan greeted us with smiles that made us feel instantly at home. They took the time to get to know us, offering valuable insights into the local area and suggesting hidden gems to explore. The tranquil ambiance of De Kamer combined with the heartfelt hospitality of Ilse and Jan, created an unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations. The apartment has everything you could hope for during a stay in this wonderful part of Holland. Quiet and peaceful, and excellently located between Hoorn and Enkhuizen, with Edam also just a short drive away. The host was very welcoming and helpful with tips as to local amenities and day trip destinations. A comfortable and enjoyable stay from beginning to end.

Practically every aspect of this Bed&Breakfast in Andijk was more than just satisfying. We loved everything about it. The appartment is modern and cosy and very clean. It also has a very cute terrace with a view of the canal at the back of the house. The hosts are very kind and brought us our breakfast everyday in a big basket and each day it varied. All in all a wonderful place to stay in this part of Holland. We give B&B Het Molensteegje absolutely top marks and we'll definitely be coming back here. Its a pity our stay was too short (3 nights).

It’s super spacious with plenty of bedrooms. Ideal for families. The house itself is located just perfectly as a base for cycling trips along the coast. Half an hour cycling to Enkhuizen - beautiful town with all one may need for the family. Cycling infrastructure around is just astonishing - both, for family barely-moving lazy cycles as well as long and quick speed bike trips. Ideal for kids who are just starting to cycle. Cycling routes are super safe - mostly completely separate for the car roads. But even if it is on a side if a road, it’s clearly color- marked and people around pay huge attention to cyclists on the paths. The house itself even has got a nice shed to keep your bikes in (it easily accommodated our four full size and one kid-size bike). Our family doesn’t know much about water sports , but you can clearly see that the area is full of options for those being seriously into sailing. The Owners are super friendly and helpful. Everything clearly described in few handy instructions. The apartment is fully equipped with whatever you may need. It’s warm and quiet (I love especially the last thing - QUIET ). We had fantastic few days there. I think we will be coming back.

The location was perfect! Just a 20 minute cycle ride into Enkhuizen. The location of the house was fab too as it was on the end (only neighbours on one side) and right next to the marina with boats coming in and going out… Fantastic location for walks, dogs are welcome too! Two restaurants within a 3 minute walk underneath the bridge into the harbour… Supermarkets within 4 mins by car… Definitely go have a drink and dinner at ‘t Ankertje in Enkhuizen. The staff is fabulous and the food is great’

Magnificent property with a truly exceptional design and feel. The host was friendly and helpful. He thought about everything; the apartment was very well equipped with lots of attention to detail in every corner of the house. This is a special place that we will be happy to stay at again, on our next visit to Hoorn.

    Very interesting place to stay. It's a ship parked in the port. The rooms are small but well arranged with comfortable beds. There are nice shared areas, toilets, showers, kitchen, kitchen table, game console. There's also a coffee machine for the morning coffee. Everything at the ship is very clean. The WiFi was surprisingly fast and reliable. There's no private parking, but the public parking worked very well for us and it's nearby. The kids loved this place. PS: bring your own towels.

    an amazing boat and accommodation! captain lucas was fantastic and very welcoming. we used the kitchen which was very well stocked and the whole stay was very enjoyable. we would absolutely recommend visitors to come and stay in this unique beautiful sailboat! only 1 hour direct train from amsterdam.
