The kitchen was well set up and did I mention the awesome sea views from the bedrooms & sitting room.. We loved that despite not being around the hostess kept line of communications open including a written note.

We stayed in Nelson for four days and at Beaches for three nights. We selected Beaches as closer to the Tahunanui Beach and were not disappointed. The facility is very clean and rooms comfortable and well stocked. Initially the traffic sounds in our second floor room were a concern but were greatly reduced by heavy sliding doors and curtains. The management of Beaches is exceptional. Jackie and her partner Glenn are very friendly and within a few minutes you feel like family. Both are helpful in suggesting local places to see and dining opportunities. We were kindly offered rides to/from the airport as well as local sites if we needed. Taxi availability in Nelson is poor. Jackie really made this trip special for us.
