Kit was a phenomenal host who was warm, welcoming and very passionate about his alpacas and his farm. The property itself is truly a slice of heaven - the rooms are quiet, the garden is filled with beautiful trees and flowers of so many varieties, and the alpacas are clearly well taken care of. Special mention to Kit for taking us on an extended tour to the paddocks to see the two newborn crias, and sharing so much of his knowledge of alpacas with us. It also helps that the location of his farm is nearby Christchurch so we can drive out for a quick and delicious dinner. 10/10 would recommend to anybody looking for a farm stay!

    Kit, the owner of Silverstream, is absolutely delightful. He has so much pride in his farm, accommodation and the alpacas and rightfully so. The cottages are well maintained, kitchen had everything we needed, walls were freshly painted. The alpacas were fun to interact with.

    Everything! The accommodation is as described and we had a warm and comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen and a hearty breakfast was provided. The estate is well maintained and clean. We love that we’re free to roam and explore the farm and it’s beautiful garden. Our host Kit was very friendly and provided a tour of his farm and business.
