We had cycled 170km from Briare in very high temperatures which set our expected arrival time back a few hours and our hosts were very understanding. Upon arrival in Diou (it was a Monday evening around 6pm) nothing in the village was open and our hosts drove to a neighbouring village to pick up a couple of pizzas for us. We are eternally grateful! We couldn't ask for more. The accommodation it's self was a self contained annex within the grounds of the main house. It was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed including facilities to wash our cycling clothes. We had a lovely evening sat outside eating our pizza in beautiful surroundings. We fully recommend Petit Mas Cosy if you are in the area but please note Diou is a small village and food outlets might be closed on certain days. (I think this goes for many villages in central France during the summer months)

The directions were easy, everything was as documented on the website, it had everything we needed.

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. Easy to find. On arrival, the entry keypad had a plate attached telling me to ring the bell, but I couldn't find the bell. Someone passing rang the number and all was well! It was very clean and very technological with a small plastic card for room entry and flashing lights as well as a voice telling if the door was locked or unlocked. Wifi worked a treat. There were qr codes here and there, and a Hi Google box or something - I didn't dare mess with those as I am not very good with modern things! Bed very comfortable, slept like a log, and everything was clean. Breakfast self service and perfectly adequate. Auxonne is a beautiful place, and I would like to return and stay here again for longer. Thank you!

Lovely and bright/ quiet at night/ great terrace/ lots of little touches to make it welcoming and easy to use / very clean/ great shower.

Very spacious appartment with some quesionable colours (red linen ;-)) One should be cautious, if travelling with small kids...or dogs. Stairs are not protected form one side...our dog fell down, when going to dring some water in the kitchen. Nothing happened, luckily.

Bresse Golf Course is 33 km from the apartment, while Bourg-En-Bresse train station is 41 km from the property. Lyon - Saint Exupery Airport is 87 km away. Beautiful decoration, with much attention to detail. It was very quiet at night. The temperature was perfect and the apartment very well equipped. Car can be parked right in front on the street (free at night). Thank you also for the coffee capsules for breakfast. Highly recommend.
