The unit was very spacious especially since we are only 3pax but can accomodate up to 6 pax. The unit was equip with the basic needs. The big living room was a very nice touch in which you can lounge. And since the unit is bigger than normal space in Japan, you can freely open your luggage. It was a great stay. Would defenitely recommend.

I felt right at home and the entire building is sitting in this very cute location. The owner had 2 cats which roam around the property. It was great to see them. The hosts were also very attentive and friendly. I had a great time speaking to them in Japanese, but they seem to manage really well with people don't speak Japanese. The best thing for sure was that they totally saved me twice! I didn't realize how rural this place was when I booked it. On the map, it looked more accessible on foot and it was only when I was heading to Aso that I would be in trouble because of my luggage. The host offered to pick me up from Akamizu and the even to take me back to get dinner/use the onsen. Later, they also offered to drive me to Tateno station for my departure train. This saved me so much stress. I couldn't walked with my luggage, but it would have been miserable. Overall, I had a really wonderful time staying here. Felt very peaceful and I was able to relax, especially after my long hike on Mt. Aso.

Set in Minami Aso, 31 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, Momiji hostel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The property is located 41 km from Kumamoto Castle, 42 km from Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei and 17 km from Mount Aso. The property is non-smoking and is situated 41 km from Suizenji Park. Our stay at Momiji was great! The old Japanese house was warm and homey and the hosts were kind and welcoming. Two cats were a bonus. Dinner at the Thai restaurant was exceptional and highly recommended! I would be back anytime and ideally would stay for longer!

Guests can take in the ambience of the surroundings from an outdoor dining area or keep themselves warm by the fireplace on colder days. At the villa, there is a dressing room for guests to change in. We really enjoyed staying here. The cabin is comfortable, well equipped and nicely furnished. A nice bonus is the pot belly stove fireplace and we used it every night.

The accommodation is non-smoking. We had a lovely time staying in this traditional Japanese style apartment. It is tidy and spacious, has lots of details hidden around the corners. The host was very friendly, responsive and helpful, provided detailed suggestions about placed worth visiting in Takeo and even guided us to see fireflies at night. The day we checkout out of the apartment we forgot backpack on the bus, the host was kind enough to contact the bus company for us right away. This is by far the most pleasant stay we ever had in any country.
