The owner and his family are very friendly. Everything is very close, especially railway and bus station. You can tell they do it with love, and if I’m ever back in Kandy, I’ll be happy to return here. I extended my stay because it really feels like home.

Room had everything one might need including one of the comfiest beds and powerful showers so far in Sri Lanka. The room we stayed in had a fantastic view of Ella rock and a waterfall. It’s a very easy walk into Ella along the rail way tracks (this is normal in Ella I promise). Staff wanted to do as much as they could to make the stay at the hotel and time in Ella as enjoyable as possible.

This villa with mountain views has tiled floors, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower, bidet and bathrobes. There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchen complete with a minibar and kitchenware. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. The absolutely perfect place for couples! High above the bustle of town, this stand-alone cottage with a private patio set in a lush garden is a mountain oasis. A/c is not needed due to the elevation and fans both inside and outside. Although a solid 30 minute walk from town its worth the peace and quiet and the walk is easy mitigated by renting a scooter (which I strongly suggest) or, if you are uncomfortable with a scooter the host can arrange a prompt and inexpensive tuk tuk. The breakfast is delicious and varied and the host is super responsive and gracious. A bonus is one can start the hike to Ella Rock from the doorstep of the property (+/- 3 hours). My advice is to absolutely stay more than one night!

Room was very clean and spacious, they had mosquito nets and hot water. They offered us tea and cookies right after arriving what was very nice gesture. Very quiet and nice place to relax. Breakfast was enormous and so tasty. Their avocados were the best.

Everything was perfect: The room was decorated simply but very tastefully. There was a beautiful view from my balcony, comfy bed, good ventilation, and nice bathroom facilities. The fan worked well but not really necessary at night with the cool mountain air coming through my opened windows and balcony door and NO mosquitoes. The lovely lady working there greeted me on my arrival with tea, biscuits and fruit and served a wonderful breakfast every day. The owner & his family lived in the ground floor and the property was well looked after. I met some other nice guests there as well. I have already recommended this absolutely Brilliant View to several friends.
