Amazing host. Koos met us on arrival and showed us how everything in the room worked. It was so close to town and walking distance to the beach. We even had homemade lemon cheesecake in the fridge and a bag with cool drinks and cake to take home. Attention to detail was superb.

Our family of three stayed here for 5 days and we were very happy to have so much space to spread out after staying in tiny bigger city hotels. The apartment is very clean and we had everything we needed. It is about a 15 minute walk to the train station in Haarlem and the neighborhood surrounding the apartment has lots of shops and restaurants. If you are cooking in the apartment, Deka Markrt and Albert Heijn are both just a few minutes walk away. Very close to the central square too. I'd recommend going on Saturday for market day. Just a note to families with very small kids...the bedrooms are separated by a floor and the long length of the apartment. The second bedroom is actually right by the entrance door. This worked out well because our daughter is a young teen and she got lots of privacy. I think I would have been nervous if she were little to have her almost in her own apartment like that. Steps are typical Dutch steps, very steep and curving so keep that in mind if anyone has mobility issues.
