The hotel is only 10km (20min) away from central Salzburg by car. The bus station is around the corner. The Eagle's Nest and the Rossfeld Panorama Strasse (Panoramic highway) are only 20 min away by car. The cable car is 5 min drive or 20 min walk away from the hotel. You can hike to the same location (Untersberg) (1300m ascent) from parking situated 5 min drive away - get there early as it gets filled up pretty quickly. You can rent bikes from the hotel and take advantage of the multiple trails that go to the city or neighbouring villages or towns.

The room was quite big, warm and clean. The hotel has traditional elements, such as elegant furniture and local architecture of the building. The staff was quick and informative. The city center is within walking distance (25'), which makes the location convenient for exploring the city on foot.

We were received with a very warm welcome from the friendly hotel staff, and very much enjoyed our stay here, especially the breakfast, which includes a wide range of very tasty savory and sweet, home made and locally sourced organic produce. Definitely enough to set you up for the day! A big thank you to the wonderful cook and friendly staff. We'd be back in a heartbeat!
