Ferienwohnung im Erzgebirge was simply perfect for a week away from the busy life (we were there end of winter/beginning of spring). The friendly staff answered all of our questions before arrival (what to pack, expected weather, etc.). They were also very accommodating for our time of arrival. We arrived on a Sunday evening and were immediately seduced by the wonderful local food offered at the restaurant. The apartment also perfectly matched our expectations and was very clean, calm and comfortable (and wifi was also perfect when we needed to work a bit). Alpacas, chicken and a cat run around in the garden, adding to the magic of the place. The location is perfect for hikes in the forest, visiting neighbouring villages (accessible by foot if you like hiking), or going skiing/snowshoeing in the nearby German/Czech ski station (Oberwiesenthal/Klinovec). A 2h30 car ride takes you to Prague, or a 1h30 one to Dresden if you're looking to go on a city tour. We also enjoyed the sauna on evenings after hikes and skiing. Breakfast was exceptional - exactly what you need before heading out for the day. Finally, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always attentive to our needs, and giving us tips on what to visit and where to go.
