This hotel was a surprise in every respect. It was obviously originally a station hotel and had the olde worlde feel in reception and lounge. Really friendly staff looked after us and let us park our motorbikes in the hotel courtyard to be off the street. There is loads of street parking for those that drive. The room was spacious and very comfortable Breakfast was more than adequate and situated in the old restaurant which has been spectacularly preserved, a site worth seeing in its own right We didn’t have time to see the whole town but the old station opposite the old hotel has been converted to a children’s nursery and book exchange. The town is in the foothills of the French Pyrenees so the view from the town and hotel is spectacular

We spent one night at this hotel and both found it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in large or small anywhere in the world. Truly exceptional. The service is top class. The restaurant was friendly and served excellent food. The room was beautifully appointed and completely clean. The staff were both efficient and friendly and found out within minutes whether the nearby road over the Col de Tourmalet was open when we had failed to find the information ourselves.

the Primerose hotel is a family-run establishment, modest in its appearance but with attention to detail, extremely clean and made special by its owner, Philippe, an extraordinarily friendly and sensitive person who tries in every way to make his guests feel good. My wife and I are two cyclists, and we highly recommend this hotel especially for those who cycle. Spacious, totally safe bike room, where you can hang your bikes without the risk of them scratching against each other. We have always eaten at the hotel, excellent food, set menu, respect for any special needs everyone may have (my wife doesn't eat meat). Philippe was nice enough to understand the character of the various guests and immediately seated us next to other people with whom we then made good friends. The total cost of the hotel is absolutely unbeatable, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants to visit the Pyrenees, with a special focus on cycling. From the hotel it is indeed very easy to do the Tourmalet, l'Aubisque, Hautacam, Trumouse, Gavarnie. Thanks again Philippe

Phillipe was a lovely host. He met us at the property and gave us a thorough tour. The property was fantastic! A perfect base for our cycling trip to the Pyranees. The property was very well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Having a sauna after a day's cycling was brilliant. The balcony and garden were a treat as was the view from the balcony. Phillipe helped us with ideas for cycle routes and came back with a bike stand when he came back for a couple of minor maintenance items.
