We stayed in a wonderful apartment at the best possible location in Ax-les-Thermes, very central and close to the market square (Pl. Roussel), yet at a very quiet location. The apartment was beautifully decorated, very clean, with a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. Raphaël went out of his way to allow for an early check-in, upgraded us to a larger apartment and let us store our luggage for 3 days after our stay - in a very uncomplicated fashion. In short: A fantastic accommodation with a great service. I highly recommend La Porteille, we'd come back anytime.

Upon arrival my friends and I were met with a genuine welcome and were immediately made fee like guests not customers. The two staff members at the bar / reception couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great stay in the hotel and in Ax les Thermes - Top marks all round. We booked a 4 bed room which was quite large and clinically clean with a nice en suite bathroom. The follow morning we were treated to a really good continental breakfast. I'd definitely stay there again!
