It was a perfect stay with a perfect host. The house is scenic as are the street and the town. Everything was clean, lots of space for a family of 5.

Gujo Hachiman is a lovely small town, and あぽろん is ideally located as a base for a visit. The accommodation is shared with the owners, but is private. Bedrooms are upstairs, but the bathroom and toilet is downstairs. The hosts were very helpful, despite having limited English, thanks to Google translate.

Absolutely charming and peaceful place. It was our last night in Japan and it was the perfect ending. Pics don’t do it justice. It is a place to stay and enjoy, not just to sleep.

The breakfast here was a gloriously designed feast. The fruits were cut into small delectable slices, and the bread was freshly made. I suspect that most of the ingredients were freshly grown on site. We arrived very late at night. The reception waited up for us late into the night and checked us in. The rooms were very cool! They are filled with warm beds and vintage furniture. I don't think I've ever stayed at a little hotel like this before: it was quaint (in the very positive sense) and lovely and pretty all at once.
