The warm and cosy atmosphere as you enter. The social area is just right before and after a days skiing. You feel welcome and at home particularly as you can use the kitchen area. Rio greets you and he is amazingly helpful, kind and considerate and will go the extra mile to serve you well. Great value for a hostal style accommodation in a ski resort. The bunks are double size with warm blankets. The bath downstairs is a welcome retreat after skiing if you don’t fancy the 7 min walk to the local onsen. Well worth it. Check which one with Rio. Note it shuts at 7 pm but the baths in the hotel remain open. Rio has an array of beverages in his bar and restaurants are easy. Just go nextdoor ! Thank you for your hospitality Rio. The hospitality was amazing and all staff members where super helpful and friendly, despite us not knowing Japanese super well but the staff always did well to communicate with us, the cafe was super cute and had some really delicious food. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and super comfortable even had a beautiful view from the window every morning! It was also in walking distant to some nice onsens, foot baths and other delicious restaurants! Definitely recommend if you're wanting to stay there in the colder months.

Great hotel located right in the Yamagata train station! Friendly staff - we arrived earlier than check-in time so the front desk held our luggage for us and even again after check-out before our train arrived. The rooms were clean, modern, well-lit and more spacious than I expected. Close to lots of restaurants and shops.

Everything! Very cozy and the location is perfect just next to the godola ! Friendly staff as well. Love the kitchen which you can make your own food when lazy going out to the restaurant. Also love their public snow boots at reception, even have 3 size options, that's really thoughtful!

Helpful and friendly staff and amazing food. We stayed in one of the rooms with the private outdoor bath. The room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable.
