The area is popular for skiing, mountainbiking, climbing and hiking. The Ehrwalder Alm Cable Car is 5 km from Mellow Mountain Hostel and the climbing gym is 0.5 km away. It is the excellent place for staying if you intend to have a sport activity like climbing or hiking. The train station as well as the bus stops are nearby, the DE-ticket for trains works there, the bus ticket is included into the price of the hostel. There are metallic lockers with keys in the room to secure your stuff when you go out. There is a washing machine available at the basement. There is also a wonderfully decorated hall with big, panoramic windows, inspiring a peaceful atmosphere. There is also a fingerboard (!) at the entrance, so one can training fingers directly in the hostel :) As well if the weather is not good for open-air rock climbing, then the free entrance to the climbing (klettern) gym nearby (in Ehrwald) is provided.

The Hotel Zugspitze's spacious rooms feature a modern en suite bathroom, Alpine-style furnishings, comfortable beds and free high-speed internet access. Restaurant & cuisine – The dining room delivered outstanding food, excellent table service, and mountain views that made every meal memorable. Hospitality – Staff throughout the hotel—from check‑in to housekeeping—exceeded every expectation. Breakfast experience – A wide and tasty buffet, prompt service, with hot dishes prepared on request made for an energizing start to each day. Ideal for short stopovers – I originally planned this as a two‑night rest to avoid a long drive after a flight. While I didn’t have time for the spa, its generally praised 1,000 m² wellness area shows just how full a longer stay could be. Impeccable cleanliness – I hold very high standards for hygiene; the room and public areas surpassed them entirely.

The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The sun terrace and garden offer a beautiful view of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein mountains.

Farchant is an ideal staring point for hiking and skiing, with several skilifts within 9 km. Zugspitze (mountain) is 15 kilometers away and Eibsee (lake) is 15 kilometers away. Amazing owners.. best German I met 🤣

The 4-star superior hotel has been family-run since 1634 and offers an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, steam baths, a children's playground and a cosy lounge. It has panorama garden with a view of the Zugspitze mountain peak and is located just few minutes' walk from the centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The staff members were incredibly kind, and the restaurant served high-quality meals for all their menu items. The SPA experience was truly amazing, and the kids enjoyed every second of it.

If you would like to discover the area, skiing, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and the apartment can arrange a ski equipment rental service. I think it was the best hotel of my life! Everything was absolutely perfect, clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable room, kitchen equipped better that the one I have at home, big shower, a lot of storage space, extremely comfortable very wide bed with the softest blanket! It was very easy to get there, a lot of space for parking, very kind host, cute cozy villages nearby to have a walk. I really hope to come back here one day and stay longer than one day :) Highly recommend!
