Best location we stayed at in a 2 week holiday in Japan. The other hotels we used were all conventional ones and we wanted to stay in at least on Ryokan and chose this one. The location is perfect, really close to Zenkoji Temple which is the most historic area in Nagano, with lots of really nice shops to explore. The room was perfect and we really enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast

If you cannot carry your suitcase up the steps to the upper floor, you can bring the futons downstairs and sleep on the heated floor. We came here with another couple and we all loved this house and Gujo. Ask Masa-San to pick you up at the station, if he can he will! The great reviews are very deserving, if you like Japanese style living you will like Nomad Inn. The 6 am. temple bell will remind you every morning what another world it is here!
