The personnel is very professional and client oriented. Kimberly, one of the waitress was proactive and attentive to all of her clients needs. I heard her calling them by their names, bringing coffees and/or teas prior their demands as she was very observant. She made the breakfast time extremely pleasant, even though i was by myself.

It did exceed my expectations however was unaware that the hotel was under construction to expand and renovate to update.

Location was extraordinary and the staff extremely attentive.

The staff at Shaka Caye is marvelous - couldn't have! They all worked really hard to make our visit a comfortable and memorable experience and they succeeded big time. Chef Jose prepared the most delicious meals we have tasted in a long time (see pictures), and the food was served in the most professional way by Michael and Percy. Two choices for breakfast, two for lunch and two for dinner (plus starter and desert) every day. Fresh fish and lobster, loads of vegetables, but also chicken and beef. New menu daily plus a snack delivered to our room. Obi the barkeeper made excellent tropical drinks from an extensive menu. The friendly ladies, Glanda, Veronica and Daisy, in the office were super helpful and did every kinds of arrangements for us from snorkling trip, transport to the airport and mailing postcards. The cabanas are beautiful in a "caribbean" style. Loads of thick towels, very comfortable bed and great bathroom with enough hot water. Minibar filled up for free every day. All the cabanas and the studio rooms are located at the water front, and there are more than enough sun beds and you can have as much privacy as you like. No creepy insects on the island. All the outdoor and indoor facilities are clean. Sargassum is a problem all over the caribbean, but Shaka Caye staff cleaned the beach every day so it was pristine and attractive. W love Shaka Caye and the employees, and will come back again.
