We had a great stay at Saranda. The layout was very unique and trendy, owner was extremely nice, rooms were small but comfortable, & swim up bar was a plus!

Our stay was exceptional. The bungalows and rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was phenomenal. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Look no further, book this place - we had the best stay! Firstly, it is the best location, short drive to Puerto Viejo but also walking distance of plenty of great restaurants and supermarkets nearby, you can even walk to the Jaguar Rescue. It feels like you're right in the jungle, the landscaping around the hotel is done so well, with the boardwalks through the trees, so all rooms feel really private and quiet and there is wildlife including sloths right amongst the trees in the hotel! Breakfast was great, and in the best spot looking right at the beach. The pools were lovely (we found three during our stay) and all the beach loungers etc. Staff were all really friendly and helpful and nice. DO NOT MISS the morning wildlife walk with the Jungle Man!! We saw eleven sloths in one hour as well as toucans, monkeys and much more! That guy is a legend.

Amazing place to stay! We loved our room (upper floor room) with a hammock and nice view over the garden. The resort area is very green and we could see cute agouties running around. Massage in spa was exceptionally good! Stuff was very helpful and welcoming. We tried also sushi restaurant and it was also really good. Location is nice: the beach is just across the street, plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. 20 min walking to the supermarket and about 30-40 min to the town (or 5 min with Uber). We could also rent a bike if we stayed more nights at the hotel. The hotel offers also some activities like yoga classes, but we were too lazy to attend)). The breakfast was a pleasant surprise: good options (eggs, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes and a lot more). To sum up, we really enjoyed staying at the resort. I was surprised that it’s only 3 stars. I think it’s worth much more.
