Beatiful and lovely farm with a lot of nice details that makes you feel the atmosphere of the countryside with the comfort of a hotel. I was surprised how spacious was the room and the toilet. Comfortable beds. The room was newly decorated and from the window we could see part of the farm and we woke up with a raimbow sight. Host was super friendly. This is an extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated apartment in the middle of Detmold. The design and layout are very well done, making you feel very much at home. There is everything you need in the kitchen, a bright and aired bathroom with large rain shower, a very large bedroom with good cupboard space, a comfortable couch and even a record player. There is a cellar downstairs where you can leave your bike, and a free use of washing machine and drying rack. At the ground floor is also a very friendly Eye Glasses shop, who become your neighbours :)

As visitors to the bi-annual Pferdestarke event, we have stayed at Hotel Zur Burg Sternberg every 2 years since approximately 2010. The buffet style breakfasts and evening meals are delicious. The location is quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and, as our German isn't brilliant, it was good that some staff spoke excellent English. Special mention to Stella and Stephanie.
