It is a lovely hotel in an idyllic location, surrounded by beautiful nature. The house is walking distance to the Elbe river. It features the wellness area with sauna and the bier garden right next to the house. Our booking included breakfast which was very nice as well. It was in another location with the terrace outlooking the river. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, which is intentional, but you can catch free Wi-Fi in the restaurant and beer garden , if needed. It was a very relaxing stay and we loved it! Thank you!

Bio-Hotel Helvetia is located in the small village of Schmilka. It lies directly on the Elbe cycling trail and the Malerweg long-distance hiking trail.

The staff were friendly, the hotel is in a beautiful village on the Elbe, Tesla charge point worked perfectly (there's also a public charger in the local parking lot). The bar and restaurant were great and breakfast was very good.

Newly opened in 2018, this hotel is a villa featuring extraordinary design and equipped with eco-friendly and natural materials.

I really appreciate the overall concept of this hotel cluster—revitalizing the village in an environmentally friendly way, promoting self-sufficiency, and preserving historical traces. It left a strong impression on me. As for the food, I liked the use of high-quality ingredients.

Everything was perfect. Staff was helpful and friendly, room comfortable and clean, delicious food. We only stayed one snowy night and therefore didn’t use the facilities (the sauna, for example). We booked last minute to celebrate our marriage anniversary and it was worth every minute. Now we have to go back to see the view in all other seasons :)

Location is the star attraction! Great base for walking in the area. We were kindly given a room looking over the valley and beautiful scenery, thank you! Minibar with great selection of complimentary drinks, wonderful. And the breakfast was extensive and very good. Loved staying here.

Offering wonderful views of the Bastei Rock and the River Elbe, this hotel is 50 metres from Kurort Rathen Train Station. Look forward to free WiFi and a restaurant with terrace.
