We had two connecting (family) rooms. The rooms were very large and spotlessly clean. I could see how much attention to detail has been made. Comfortable and clean bedding. (I want to order the pillows!) Parking place (for extra fee) was right outside the hotel entrance, which was very convenient. We found a great beer garden 10 mins drive away to have an evening meal and drinks.

This place really surprised me. Quiet location between private houses, with huge parking for hotel guests. Wide premises. Size of room very impressive. Fast wifi. Large surprise was wellness area - in two levels, with pool, large variety of saunas, steam baths, foot massage areas. Special surprise was Japanese garden. Very good gym with professional high-end equipment. Large restaurant. Should be reserved at a reception or there is a risk to stay without table. But, of course, in closest area there are other option to have a diner.

I hadnt realised how 'off the map' it was so when I arrived, I wasnt quite sure where to go, but once I had that figured, all was well. Excellent location, so quiet & peaceful, ample car parking, good signage to reception, very welcoming hostess who although didnt speak much English, went to lengths to assist and put me at ease (my apologies for not being able to speak German!). Property was excellently maintained, clean, tidy, well laid out, facilities were excellent, ample sized bedroom with large wardrobes, workstation and easy chair, balcony with fantastic outlook (wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy it!) and well proportioned ensuite (sparkling clean). Outside elevated patio off the main dining room, garden areas with outside pool (if you're brave in autumn) and a wellness facility with sauna etc (didnt try this time but looked very nice). Food was superb and presented very nicely. Buffet breakfast selection was extensive and very tasty - egg & bacon done perfectly! Dining areas were well set out and tables had ample space around them. The hostess and her staff were very pleasant people, suitable attentive but not intrusive.

The hotel room offered a view across the Altmuehltal, as did the wonderful infinity pool. Staff were very friendly - I'll definitely be back, it's such a beautiful hotel.
