The staff was beyond helpful. I had a large group arriving at different times, and they got us all sorted with good humor and efficiency. The staff at reception was helpful and knowledgeable when we needed directions, had lost items, needed taxis, etc. They always had smiles to welcome us and went out of their way to smooth over the very few little issues that arose. The bar staff and housekeeping were was also terrific. The location couldn't be better. We walked almost everywhere. Very pleased with everything about the Chancery.

Firstly, we were greeted by Daniel at the Reception. He was so courteous and very approachable. He gave us good tips of things to do around the city and also gave us very good suggestions of pubs we could go to after dinner. Every one of those places he mentioned were just absolute spot on. 5-star all the way. The surrounding neighborhood is posh, clean, and quiet. A stark difference from downtown Dublin. If your a family that simply wants quiet and relaxation, book here with no anxiety. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed my wife and I have ever slept. Seriously though!

I gave 10 to the hotel to balance some very bed reviews that this hotel got, that are not deserved in our experience. For example, I knew there was a leisure center but I thought it was a fake: something external to the hotel and not really freely accessible to guests. Instead, it is inside the hotel, completely for free (put your swimming cap in the trolley, otherwise you have to buy one for 3 euros - that is the only cost we faced), and very nice. The staff was also super nice: breakfast was not included, but my husband and I had to have breakfast inside the hotel once, since we had to rush away early in the morning. We were ready to pay 17.5 euros each, but since the waiter saw that we just had a coffee and a small piece of cake, she charged us 3.5 euros each, only! All the other days we went to the CENTRA supermarket (5 meters far) to by some croissants and yogurt, and we had very nice breakfasts in the room, spending just a few euros each.
