CanadaWe booked a deluxe room requesting a view. We had a large king size bed, a comfortable sofa, a very large bathroom and a balcony facing the entrance to Wadi Arugot. It was really lovely to relax on the balcony in the AM and PM. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. There was a huge selection of fresh fruit, veggies, salads, short order cook for eggs, cooked dishes including shakshuka (!), cereals, breads, yogurts and more. We chose to eat dinner at Ein Gedi kibbutz rather than driving to Ein Bokek for a meal at the mall. There was again, a huge selection of foods to please the vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. The Ein Gedi Botanical garden is so diverse with many exotic trees and plants. We really did not have time to use the spa or the swimming pools. Ein Gedi Kibbutz is quite close to several trails for hiking.

United KingdomA peaceful spacious light flat with a fabulous balcony with great views towards the Dead Sea and Jordan. Very clean and convenient, with good quality bedlinen. Rivka kindly met me with her kibbutz vehicle to help me with my luggage, and checked in regularly to see if everything was OK, and with crucial advice including for booking my bus to Eilat! It is a beautiful kibbutz!

The Kibbutz is lovely, the Hotel offers a charming glimpse of kibbutz life, and the Spa is highly recommended. Service is good, staff are friendly and accommodating, and prices are reasonable. Dinner (a hearty open buffet affair) and breakfast (which saved our lives after hiking up Masada before sunrise) are taken in the kibbutz dining hall, and give a homey feeling of being part of the community.
