First of all the hotel is splendid. The staff was extremely welcoming and paid a lot of attention to our specific needs. The bedroom is stunning and we liked a lot that they don't have standard hotel white bedsheets but beautiful cosy light colored ones, like at home. The hotel is very nicely designed and ultra modern. The bathroom had shower and bathtub. The breakfast was fresh and very diverse, they had fresh fruits and a variety of veggies, meat and cheeses. The coffee is as usual exceptional. They have the full service of a 5 stars hotel, including a welcoming drink and a rose for ladies.

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Borgo il Mezzanino is located in Salò. The farm stay has a sun terrace and hot tub, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar.

It was quite peaceful and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and drinks on the terrace were very special times for us.

It’s safe to say that this hotel goes on our top 3 list for best hotels, and we have travelled a lot and stayed in many hotels! What an absolute gem. First of all, the staff. Wow! Everyone was so nice and friendly and you could really feel how much they wanted to make this stay memorable. We were always greeted with a warm, sincere smile and everytime we asked for a help or a recommendation, they were on it! Second, the location. It’s on it’s own huge property in the hills, still not far away from Lake Garda and very easy to take a walk down there, to for example the town of Saló. They are growing their own things on their property such as fruits, vegetables and herbs, which was really attractive. Thirdly, the hotel itself. It has a great history to it as it was a convent in the olden days. It was a worn down building that they bought and renovated, and they’ve done a hell of a job because you can not feel it at all. Everywhere you go, in every corner, there are signs of professionalism and an eye for detail. Oh, and let’s not forget the view from the swimming pool area over Lake Garda, with a drink in one hand and Burrata cheese in the other. Unbelieveable!!! Talking about food. Their restaurant and breakfast was 11/10. Spotless and so tasty. Mamma mia! I could write muuuuch more but I’m stopping here. I think you get the point; go and stay there. Don’t hesitate! Lovely lakeside view, cute garden, spacious rooms. The host was so sweet, they even left us a few snacks for breakfast and all we needed to make tea. The house is gorgeous, oozes the charm of old Italian villas, the interior is elegant, and huge windows give you a great view of the lake from the common room, where you can sit on comfy sofas and mingle. Everything was perfectly clean. There's a shop nearby (10 minutes walk by the lake), and there's restaurants serving excellent pizza and tiramisu only a little bit further.

Beautiful hotel, delicious breakfast! There was a swimming pool and sunbeds inside. Personal was helpful. The location is very good, but we didn't have time to visit the river beach, so can't say how far it is. Next time will stay for more than one night!

Really excellent place. The rooms are beautiful, well equipped, the view to the lake is amazing. The staff were extremely helpful with everything we needed and beyond. And, on top of it, the jacuzzi on rainy days, the pool, and the pizza down stairs (with an option for room service) made the visit even more amazing

The location is gorgeous, and the views are amazing. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The housekeeping staff do an amazing job, the property and room were spotless. The breakfast is incredible, I am not sure how my husband will cope without the French toast!
