Beautiful ryokan with a big amazing garden with rocks, plants, trees, streams and carps (really remarkable). Beautiful room, very spacious and clean. We had the room with the private onsen, very nice, and view on the garden. Delicious breakfast and dinner, thoughtfully presented and curated to the smallest details. Very nice public onsen with indoor and outdoor pools. Great staff, very helpful and kind. It was an extremely pleasant stay, I wish we had spent more nights there. I would absolutely recommend it!

True Japanese style big room. There is a enclosed balcony with two single sofa, good for a cup of tea. Very good toiletries. Lots of parking. Love the green tea and little snacks everyday. Also enjoyed the Japanese style tea pots. We were looking for a place near Kofu station, since that is the central station for both Bus and train from Tokyo. But didn't find any suitable one. You need a car to move around Kofu and around places comfortably. Hired a car from near Kofu Station (Nissan rent-a-car, also there are Toyota rent-a-car). Drove to hotel is about 20 mins from Kofu Station.

This place was perfect. We loved it so much we immediately booked for two other hotels in the Dormy Inn chain later in our trip. The onsen was so lovely, with a view of Fujiyama. The massage chairs were so nice. Free ice cream, ramen and Yakult was a bonus. The breakfast was incredible. Love this place. The staff are the loveliest.

The staff is very welcoming and helpful with additional requests. The price is very good. It is very clean.

The owner Yoshi was amazing. He was really helpful in giving advice. Also treated us to a show when we came back for drink later but playing guitar and singing traditional Japanese songs as well as some of his own creation. The view was lovely, particular from the hottub. Room was big and very comfortable. Also had two private onsens for guests to use, be warned though they can get hot so may need chilling down before use! The hotel is on the North shore so much quieter and you'll likely need to get a bus or taxi if you want to find restaurants for dinner. Alternatively you can try eating at the accommodation. We did not have time for this which is a shame as we imagine it would have been good given the rest of our experience. We did try the bar and can recommend the local sake.

The hotel is not new and shiny, but for those who love a place with history and amazing lake views, couldn't be a better choice. The furniture and facilities are a bit run down, but we expected that and it didn't bother us one bit. Huge Japanese style room, outstanding breakfast, lake Kawaguchiko right outside, movie-like atmosphere. They have a free shuttle bus to the station, but it's also easily walkable. Would love to come back again! Definitely a highlight of our trip.
