We loved our stay! This is a perfect place to relax. The hotel is built on a hill and can only be reached by a funicular railway or a long staircase. Due to its elevated location, you truly feel part of the jungle, with a stunning view to match. The highlight of our visit was definitely the monkeys – but a word of caution: if you're not a fan of monkeys, this might not be the place for you, as they can be quite intrusive. They even stole my sunscreen and almost broke into our room, as they are able to open the door (always lock the door!). The bar and staff were outstanding – very dedicated and friendly. We loved relaxing at the pool on top of the hotel.

A wonderfully peaceful place, a beautiful, spacious room with a huge bed and a balcony overlooking the trees and the monkeys that live there😍Very clean bathroom, hot water and toiletries. Very nice owners, very helpful. The whole building was calm and quiet. One of the best places I've been to during my trip to SriLanka. There is a restaurant next door, there are breakfasts and lunches. The restaurant is owned by the same owners. They also have a tuk tuk available so you can arrange a ride if you want to keep going. Highly recommended☺️And most importantly, opposite, just after crossing the street is the descent to the beach where you can admire the turtles and 3 minutes to Coconut Tree Hill. Beautiful place.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ubuntu Beach villas! 💜 Lakmal and the staff looked after us so well and we felt very spoiled. The villas are absolutely stunning and very special, completely beach front! We very much enjoyed that we could use the facilities and amazing restaurant at the Latern villa also. The food is absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend staying at Ubuntu Beach Villas and will definitely be back!!! Rowan is an amazing host he is very accommodating, gave us an early check-in and let us keep our bags there while we we were organising the next part of our trip. The accommodation is large with a huge bathroom and power hot shower ac and fan and great proximity to the beach 2 min walk.The breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here.Our room was clean,with lovely views and had everything we needed, the staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious. The location was fantastic..right on the beautiful beach.I would highly recommend staying here.

The couple that owns the accommodation is really sweet and helpfull. When my wife had a medical emergency they drove us to the hospital. The rooms are cleaned every day. Location was good. Close to some restaurants and less then 10 minutes to the beach.

Lantern is located along the white sandy beachfront and turquoise waters of Mirissa South. It features an outdoor pool, free WiFi access and complimentary parking.

Everything was perfect: Amazing view, delicious breakfast, all the other food was great as well. They did everything to accommodate us. Even a late breakfast after whale watching. The accommodation is very clean en very stylish/chique. The sunbeds are the best we had in Sri Lanka. Great shoutout to all the staff. They were the best.
