We had a great stay at Green view safari resort. We were welcomed with a drink and early check in. The bungalow was perfect for our needs and very clean and tidy with good Air- con. The lovely couple who own the place were so welcoming. We had a superb home cooked evening meal with choice of 4 curries. Good mini bar choice also. They arranged a brilliant safari for us which was great value and with a really knowledgeable driver. We highly recommend for a 1 or 2 night stay.

Incredibly hospitable and friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They communicated with us before arrival and prepared our room for an early check in. We received a lovely welcome drink and cake. The room had a beautiful terrace and excellent AC. The bed was comfortable. The staff cooked a good dinner and breakfast. They organised our private safaris with a brilliant guide. All of this came for a very reasonable price.

What a wonderful place to stay. Even better than the photos. The room was pristine and well equipped, with WiFi, AC, hot showers, mosquito nets and comfortable beds. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and spoke very good English. The garden is beautiful and immaculately maintained, it really was a green paradise. The food was delicious, we tasted lots of different traditional Sri Lankan dishes with generous portions provided. The aubergine curry was a particular highlight. Highly recommend booking your Safari through the hosts, we did and it was a treat. Our guide was fantastic and he joyfully shared his knowledge and passion for animals with us. We saw lots of Elephants including babies and many other animals and birds, which we think was only possible due to his local knowledge. Don’t miss your chance to stay here if you’re in the area.

Nice hotel for a couple of nights stay whilst you do a safari. Room was large and clean. Needs a few more chairs round the pool as only two. Opposite the lake which was nice for a walk. About a 10 min walk to the main street and restaurants.

This was truly one of the best accomodations I‘ve ever stayed in! The garden view room was absolutely gorgeous and so clean you could eat off the floor. Comfortable big beds you want to snuggle into, coffee making facilities right in your room (Kettle, cups, sugar), and truly the highlight of it all, an outdoor bathroom! I was very reluctant to leave after my stay here, I really felt like my emotional wellbeing has been fully restored after a few bad hotel experiences prior. For this price, you absolutely cannot beat it. The food was lovely and the host very kind and accommodating. So if you‘re planning to stay in Udawalawe, this is the place!

One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka. We booked it completely exhausted when we were 5 minutes away from the place, and when we arrived, there was no one, but in about 30s Marjan arrived on his motorbike telling us that he lives 5min away and came straight when he saw a new booking. He instantly made us feel welcome and made us welcome fresh drinks. Since they also had a jeep, they offered us a morning Safari for a great price, which was absolutely stunning. When we came back, we received another complimentary fresh juice! Marjan was absolutely wonderful. We asked for lunch and he went above and beyond and cooked us multiple wonderul meals we couldn't even finish. The place was very clean, and truly a great experience! However! When looking for the place, look for signs, as google maps doesn't actually have the street that its on in its maps. The signs showed us the way - google maps was wrong.
