The staff was amazing and very friendly. They went out of the way to keep the property clean-including the beach area. They were out their daily picking up trash. They had live music one night with free apps and drinks while watching the sunset. While we didn't get a chance to explore the island, it was very mellow compared to other places we had been in Thailand. It had more of a locals feel. Adults only also sealed the deal.We will 100% be staying at the Layana on our next trip to Thailand.

Lanta Sand Resort is an amazing place to relax and unwind! The lush greenery creates a peaceful atmosphere, and the friendly, attentive staff make the stay even more enjoyable. The food is excellent, especially the delicious prawns, and the drinks are perfectly refreshing. Great stay for 4-5 nights with family. We loved the location in the island. It was perfect with small kids. As we found out later that the center of the island is for drunk youth only :) Quiet and perfect beach, very nice staff, tidy rooms, good breakfast, nice massage. Few typical restaurants outside the hotel and good choice of commuting boat taxi to reach any place :)
