The location was amazing, super close to Abraao by walking to the beach, but also far from the party noises at night. The property itself was beautiful with sea views everywhere. Breakfast was excellent too! It was easy to book transfers and tours through the hotel. Best thing about the location was the boat tours picked us up right at the hotel’s private dock, so we didn’t have to wait in line at the pier with the crowd. We also used their kayak (complimentary) twice and were happy with this amenity. We arrived late the first night and ordered burgers with the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. Rental snorkel gear and minibar items were super reasonable prices, they don’t up charge you for your convenience! Staff were all extremely friendly, helpful, and communicative. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone going to Ilha Grande!

A buffet breakfast is available at Remo Hostel. I stayed for 5 days and was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The treehouse is in a beautiful location and is the perfect base to explore the Paraty area from. Paraty itself is a 20 minute bus ride away, but I wouldn’t recommend staying there as you can easily explore the town in one day, so makes a nice day trip from the hostel, before retreating back to Remo’s forest paradise. Really easy to take a boat from the local beach to explore the nearby islands, go on a hike, or just to do absolutely nothing and relax at the hostel. All of the staff were really lovely and breakfast is delicious. If you don’t like being exposed to nature, this might not be the place for you. But if this is your thing, you’ll never want to leave. Vibes were impeccable and I highly recommend staying at this hostel!
